This was my first stab at a unique and fun project: elevating a magazine cover image by hand-drawing the titles of the featured stories. Since I didn’t have an iPad yet, I executed the drawings the old-fashioned way—drew on top of the image using tracing paper (!!). I then used a scanner app to digitize the artwork, which I proceeded to refine and edit in Adobe Illustrator.
